The Ghost Ship
by Fritz Swanson
There is a world famous ghost ship;
it portends doom to all who see it—

I saw it, yesterday.

It was a bicycle
in a photograph
frozen under the cellophane ice
of a springtime puddle.

Fritz Swanson is a co-founder of and editor with Poor Mojo's Almanac(k). He once found a photograph of himself in a shopping mall parking lot. He had never seen that picture before, nor could he imagine the occasion on which it was taken.
