Poetry #451
(published September 10, 2009)
The Other World
by Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal
The crimson sky
seems like a door
to another
world where the blood
of this world has
overflowed. The
ashes of this
world are there as
well in a large
drum as large as
the sun. There are
thousands of suns
in the other
world. The climate is
hot like the hell
described in books.

Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal is a mental health professional with a new chapbook, Overcome, available from Kendra Steiner Editions.
