Poetry #301
(published October 26, 2006)
Kneeling Un
by Pete Lee
hinges her
jaw snaps him
back breaks
his spine like
a book's takes
him in inch
by inch his
jellified
nervous
system un
able to
resist
the slow
sure slide
toward her
stomach
acids kick
in soon
only his
feet and
head remain
in view his
grin tight as
ever toes
curled as
always
