Poetry #240
(published August 18, 2005)
I Have A Way Of Guaranteeing
by G. David Schwartz
I have a way of guaranteeing
That my telephone will ring
By people who have things to talk about
— By stuffing cookies in my mouth

Not one. Not two, nor three or four
My current record is so much more
Seven cookies stuffed in cheeks
Sure enough, the telly rings
Oh well, enough of that.
